Engineering consultants specialized in environmental management and Paris a6.2 and a6.4 carbon markets

Project design and management. Methodologies, Activities and Programme of Activities (PoA) under Paris A6.4 emissions reductions and CO2 removals. Design and implementation of Paris A6.2 and A6.4 national, subnational, and corporative cooperative approaches under Glaswegian Accords.

Environmental and climate engineering and collective/individual behavioral shifts, focusing on materials recycling, circular economy, and biochar-based carbon dioxide removals (CDR). Traffic engineering and urban mobility projects and their interactions with carbon-recycling and reverse logistic.

Sustainable cultivation and green-economy management in urban, peri-urban and rural landscapes, or in nature conservation units, local communities and indigenous people shared lands. Blue-economy management, water and wastewater treatment for urban and rural communities.

Assessment of technical, economic, environmental, and socio-political feasibility of climate mitigation and carbon-recycling projects.

Advising public institutions, governments and corporative/financial institutions for the design of policies and regulatory instruments and projects for the climate mitigation at municipal, state/province, national and international levels.

Qualification and quantification of social co-benefits, contributions to sustainable development and adaptation effects of climate mitigation projects. Support for the application of economic subsidy instruments, promotion and support for socially based climate mitigation projects, such as: national and international carbon emissions market based mechanisms, payment for environmental and ecosystems services, resilience and adaptation co-benefits, enhancing and improving indigenous knowledge and income generation for local and traditional communities, maximizing co-benefits and mitigating negative impacts.

Teaching, research and development (R&D), environmental education and events related to the carbon-recycling and climate mitigation projects/methodologies.

Support for the application of economic subsidy instruments, promotion and support for socially based carbo-recycling projects, such as: national and international market for carbon emissions credits and debts, payment for environmental services, resilience and adaptation to climate change, exploitation and improving knowledge and technologies originating from indigenous populations and local traditional communities, maximizing co-benefits and mitigating negative impacts.

Teaching, research and development (R&D), environmental education and events related to the recycling chain and certifiable reverse logistics of atmospheric CO2 using carbon remineralization technology contained in renewable biomass and solid waste.

WHAT WE DO

We join public and private actors – institutions, financial investors, governments, private companies, and people – to build up cooperative approaches to be registered under the paragraphs 6.2 and 6.4 of the Paris Agreement as per the Glasgow Accords (COP 26, 2021), with focus in two main fields:

The biocarbon (biochar) route, based on clean biomass and generating “carbon-coins” for geological storage (reverse mining and nature restoration projects).

The pyrocarbon (mixed biochar) route, for controlled disposal of mineralized “artificially fossilized” inert rejects, with quantified carbon removals, methane and N2O emissions avoidance.

Our approach is not proprietary or bound to any exclusivity utilization of any protected technology: we are able to adapt and design local cooperative approaches based on any local or commercially available technology. The processes below are originated from our previous research and development works at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

I –  Segregated and/or mixed biomass pyrolysis process (Pyrolix)

II – Wood carbonization in contiguous furnaces (the “Montes Claros” Process)

III – Pyrolix (UFMG) Protected Trademark

IV –  Biological wastewater treatment with energy generation and methane destruction (the “Ponte Nova – Process”)

V- Metals vapors separation process in magnesium ferro-alloy reduction furnaces (the “Bocaiuva – Process”). (connected with our second generation carbon-calcium-recycling route with the black-hydrogen generation, under development).
